A turn toward life

”Earth, isn’t this what you want: to arise within

us, invisible? Isn’t your dream to be wholly

invisible someday? —O Earth: invisible! What, if

not transformation, is your urgent command?”

—Rainer Maria Rilke

A TURN TOWARD EARTH AS A LIVING PRESENCE WITHIN US

How does connection with nature help overcome early trauma in individuals and societies? What is the healing power of a life-giving cosmology (a comprehensive origins story) that brings us back to meaning and a sense of belonging to the universe?

Part memoir, part lyrical essays and poetry, Sacred Earth Rising Within carries a powerful message of hope for the human prospect.

featured praise

“This is a fabulous book, and a creative and original development of the new cosmology. The focus on trauma puts it at the very center of spiritual concerns of our contemporary society. The power of the narrative and the force of its reflections on the deep issues kept me going right through from the first to the last page. It is loaded with quotable passages; they pile up powerfully in so many places.

Lauren de Boer has given birth to a work that will heal so many struggling souls. A beautiful achievement!”

Brian Thomas Swimme, Evolutionary philosopher and author of Cosmogenesis
